mozilla store 2.0

The Mozilla Store is back and a million times better. Expect great Mozilla gear, great prices, same day shipping, and friendly and free customer support.

I submitted a bug report, but just wanted to point out on here as well that the state select lists (when choosing the address) on the Shipping and Billing pages are broken (at least for Maryland). It kept telling me that the state was invalid on the final confirmation screen. Indeed, the select lists are entering "MH" when you select Maryland. This makes it sorta impossible for me to order anything.

great, but what about users outside the US? There once was a free Mozilla Store for Germany (http://www.spreadshirt.net/shop.php?sid=8753), which donated its income to the Foundation until it was asked to shut down in the Foundation's open letter (http://www.mozillazine.org/articles/article4484.html). Since then... it must be at least a year ago... there has been no replacement or whatsoever.

The Mozilla Europe Group (http://www.mozilla-europe.org/en/contribute/membership/) seems responsible. Since its start it has yet to set up a payment system or a shop. I haven't see any improvement at all.

It's kinda sad to see almost what goes for US citizens but not for people out side. Can you tell anything about the future of Mozilla Europe and a European Mozilla store?

I wish more t-shirts would be produced that don't have anything printed on the back. I've been wanting to get a FIrefox shirt, but the slogan on the back just turns me off. Just having a shirt with the icon on the front would be more understated and hip. Most people would recognize the icon without the slogan on the back. (I have this same problem with many of the otherwise interesting shirts at Jinx and ThinkGeek.)

Sheesh... thanx asa. I overlooked that in the announcement ;)

Agreed, we need a Firefox tshirt with only the logo and also it would cool if there were a version of the Mozilla tshirt that didn't have the mozilla.org text on the back.

The store looks great. Knowing how consistent the artwork and icons have been kept on all materials, especially official, I have to say I'm really surprised to see such a huge and obvious difference comparing 2 of the stores items, for the Firefox logo.

The Firefox shirt: http://store.mozilla.org/popups/view.asp?code=MZ13012
The Firefox cap: http://store.mozilla.org/popups/view.asp?code=MZ31023

The icons are frighteningly different. Has this been noticed, scrutinized, and picked up on in pre production, and production etc?

The cap Firefox icon, has yellow going all the way over the left of the icon, up the middle of the fox, all the way up it's neck, like a punk with a blonde mohican. It looks terrible, especially by comparison. It's not even due to material, it has been designed that way strangely.

This is the worst discrepancy in terms of Firefox artwork I've seen yet by far, one would hope it's been noticed, and is being improved, because it clearly can be. I remember how Mozilla produced many Firefox shirts ages ago, and ditched some, because the design wasnt quite right, yet it was a tiny discrepancy compared to this.

Asa, you gave the shirt away here if I remember rightly. If that wasnt good enough, how the hell is this discrepancy not, when it's 10x worse?

Hopefully this has been noticed, either way this blatantly needs investigating, and improving, so this should be taken up, passed on etc.
