nice google maps mod

Take a look at this very cool Google Maps mod. Read about it at Raj Kaimal's blog.

Besides the zoom feature, the hybrid mode is very cool too... Google should add that to their maps site, along with a way to measure distance in maps without having to use the driving directions feature. It seems they haven't been adding much to the maps site and have concentrated on Google Earth instead.

Well, I'll be damned. Alon, you're right. It must be a very recent development, because I use the site all the time and I'm quite sure it wasn't there a couple of days ago.

Yes, that and the new scale in the lower left corner was mentioned on Slashdot a few days ago. :-)

By the way, talking about Google Maps, did you try MSN Virtual Earth?
