One of my favorite bloggers, Carolyn Collins Petersen, has posted some info on how you can follow along with the upcoming Deep Impact collision event. Thanks for the heads-up, Carolyn!!
(If you enjoy astronomy at any level, go buy C.C. Petersen's books immediately. They're all wonderful. Visions of the Cosmos is to drool over ;-)
Posted by asa at June 30, 2005 09:19 PMI was hoping to see if my 'scope is powerful enough to see the event but I'm not too keen on taking it outside while fireworks are blazing. Don't want to catch a stray bottle rocket in the tube. Thanks for the linkage! ~ Kevin

He's not only musician but he has also studied physics/astronomy a while ago, so he's not too unfamiliar with the topic.
Asa,
Doc M and I will be attending the Planetary Society Deep Impact event just east of Pasadena. WiFi capable powerbook will be there, so if there's WiFi at Citrus College, I'll be live-blogging it. We'll see how it goes, tho.
