yahoo my web two point oh beta

Save, annotate, and tag the web - then share that value with your community; My Web 2.0 Beta opened for business this evening.

If you consider applications like Flickr, del.icio.us, and Technorati valuable pieces of your web toolbox, then you'll feel right at home with My Web 2.0.

The Yahoo! team that put this together did a great job (and that includes a cross-platform Toolbar for Firefox.)

I hope to have a more in depth review when I've recovered from Gnomedex and caught up on my Mozilla workload. It's a very interesting service and I can see some great opportunities for Firefox extensions or Greasemonkey scripts (using the Yahoo My Web API) to start layering these community created semantics on top of the live web.

Yet another great place for link spammer. ;-)

That's kind of the point of having your search constrained to a social network. Unless you're friends with spammers. :)

Thanks Asa! Great to meet you, and hope to see you again soon.

That's mostly just a copy of the furl.net, but Yahoo has better brand and ability to integrate with search.

Now whether I will switch to yahoo? Good question. Surely not for some time. I have some value of my stored items on furl, and I think that at this moment they still have larger activity than Yahoo, which is important for the social features.

I don't really like Yahoo MyWeb 2 Beta, just don't like Yahoo Search.

As anyone found a way to install the Yahoo toolbar in the nightly builds? All I get is this error: ("0.5b" is not a valid version string)...

Thanks

Claude - Xpinstall changed between 1.0 and 1.1 and doesn't like the "b". It's already fixed and will be in the next public release.

Alternatively, you can download the xpi, extract it, and hack it to have a proper GUID.

quit talking about stupid crap no one cares about, and instead, tell us useful firefox stuff, such as when are deer park 1a & FF 1.05 being released?

if we need to know about gnomecrap, or the stars, or cats, we will go to alternate websites

bubba, you're not in command of this website. :-)

Read the title, let it sink in, and move if you disapprove.
