google maps for firefox searchbar

I just found this great blog post that includes a Google Maps search plugin for the Firefox search bar. Great work (and fast!!!,) Judd Antin.

Only the maps of the USA and Canada. The wordl is larger then that.

To be fair it is in beta, and given the marketing possibilities of maps mixed with urls, I'd be stunned if they didn't spread a wider net fairly soon.

I actually hadden seen the "beta" label on the site since it is rather small. But I also think that Google have missused that moniker to such an extreme extend (somethink akin to "crying wolf") that it have lost all meaning coming from them. So I would say, no, it isn't in beta and I won't cut them any more slack than I would any other site that have just lauched aproxemetly 1 day ago (well, they have raised their own bar).

Just go to http://mycroft.mozdev.org/download.html and type in maps.google.com into search name field. That's it.
