opportunity having some fun?

Today, as I was browsing through all of the latest Opportunity and Spirit MER raw images I came across this great photo and had to wonder if that donut we can see in Opportunity's tracks was piloted or auto-nav. Is Opportunity having some fun on the Meridiani Plains when no one's watching ;-)

This is a cropped and slightly resized version of the original Navcam photo.

While I'm on the topic of off-world photography, check out the amazing Huygens photos of Titan and read about how scientists have unlocked the secrets of the Saturnian moon's landscape. This story is just amazing.

Oh, and the team over at MSSS have posted another pair of beautiful MGS MOC (1) composite images (2) of the Martian globe. I did a little bit of enhancing and posted brighter versions of the images at my flicker (1) account (2).
