firefox 1.0 preview release candidate coming soon

We're very close to having closed out the Firefox 1.0 Preview Release buglist. As soon as we've hit zarro boogs, we'll announce a candidate build. Any and all help testing that candidate build is very much appreciated. If all goes well on that testing, we should have ourselves a 1.0 PR shipped early next week.

Nice...and at the same time Moz is up to 17.7% on W3Schools Browser Statistics site!

What's the timeline for Mac Firefox? I wish Mac would stop being marginalized...even by open source projects.

Fredrik, that's because all the Firefox users went to the W3Schools site to check out the stats, when they heard that we had a 14% share :)

Adam, Mac is not being marginalized. We provide more browsers for Mac than we do for any other platform ;-) Seriously, if we didn't care about it, we'd ship it in poor shape with the other two releases. The reason Mac Firefox isn't as far along as Windows and Linux Firefox is the shortage of Mac contributors. Want Mac to get more love in open source? Get more open source Mac contributors :) I like Mac. I use it a lot. It's nice. It's also expensive and requires specialized hardware to build and test on. I care about Mac and Mac Firefox and want it to be great. I'm happy that we're delaying the release of Mac Firefox 1.0 a bit so we can do it right.

Well..when you put it that way... ;-)

I know all involved want a quality product for the Mac, as do I. It's just hard when I want the OS and its tools to be great, and sometimes focus on OS X is hard to come by. And as you said, this likely boils down to a numbers (of users/contributors) game.
