I know this will be a hugely welcome set of fixes to many in the Firefox world. Two of these bugs are the most voted for in all of Firefox bugs and combined, the votes on these four bugs combined are more than three times the next most voted for bug in the Firefox world (and account for over 75 duplicate bugs in Bugzilla.)
Vlad is my hero ;-)

Posted by: Brian P on July 17, 2004 07:00 PMHere's a good question for all of you readers:
When I reactivated favicons after reading these excellent news, all favicons I had stored before came back. However, some are incorrect and they will not change. Where do I need to go to clear them and start over?
Posted by: Cmad on July 18, 2004 08:38 AMCmad, if you take a look at your bookmarks.html file in your profile directory, you should be able to remove the Icon property from the link tag. Before:
<a HREF="http://philringnalda.com/index.xml" ICON="http://philringnalda.com/favicon.ico">phil ringnalda</a>
After:
<a HREF="http://philringnalda.com/index.xml">phil ringnalda</a>
It would seem easier to clear them wherever they're cached.
