OK. I've read through all of the entries to the contest and I didn't like any of them :-) Actually, I sort of liked several but I'm not really interested in making this requre any real time or effort on my part. Andrew Sidwell suggested "find people who want one, and then choose between them at random to be fair" and that's what I'm gonna do. So Andrew, you're the winner. Email me at asadotzler@gmail.com and let me know where to send the gmail invite.
Use this thread to let me know if you want an account and I'll randomly pick (you'll have to trust me) from the commenters each time I get a new account to give away.
update: I have several accounts to give away in this first round. After that, I'll pass them out as they become available.
update2: I'll do the first drawing mid-day Sunday (PDT) or when we hit 50 names, which ever comes first.
update3: OK, I must admit that I'm surprised at the number of entries that came in over night. I really didn't think that this many people even knew my blog existed. In my happiness that so many of you came to read my blog, I've dropped the "or when we hit 50 names" closure. We'll have ourselves a drawing sometime in the next few hours.
When I get more invites to hand out, I'll announce it with a new post but I'll continue to include the entries from this post in future drawings so no need to repeat this. One caveat, though. I'm going to announce the winners in a post and I'll expect a reply within a couple of days. If I don't hear back from a winner within a couple of days, I'll hold a new drawing for that invite.
update4: First drawing completed.

Posted by: Lasse Marøen on June 13, 2004 11:26 AM"OK, I must admit that I'm surprised at the number of entries that came in over night."
It'll get worse when Google finds this page! I had an Orkut entry and it was bad enough, considering the small number of readers I had. In fact, none of the requesters (for an Orkut invite) are actual readers I think.
Posted by: Cheah Chu Yeow on June 13, 2004 11:33 AMWell, I'd take one as well...
And let's all just hope that this thread won't get noticed by Slashdot... ;-)
