tell your friends and family

Blogging does make a difference. If you're using Mozilla or Mozilla Firebird, blog about it. Tell your friends. Convert your family. Install it on your co-workers' machines (be careful ;-). Get the word out. Make some noise. Grass-roots marketing will be a driving force in the success of the Mozilla effort and weblogs are where the leather meets the pavement. If you're using Mozilla or Mozilla Firebird, commit to blogging about it regularly. Commit to evangelizing it to one person a day and converting one person a week.

For more on marketing Mozilla, check out Bart Decrem's post at mozillaZine.

I tried the link to Bart's post but got a 404 error.

And just to let you know, I have started evangelizing Firebird in my blog!

Thanks for all your hard work.

well i did a very very bad thing just a couple of days before...

In our dept lab i downloaded Firebird and unzipped and created a shortcut on the desktop and removed all the shortcuts to IE frm the desktop and quick launch :D

Now to think even evil thing would have been to change the IE shortcut to point to Firebird location :)

I'm not sure it is good marketing to recommend Mozilla etal to the uninitiated until a spellchecker is part of the package. Try to get in into an upgrade to 1.4 and certaintly into 1.5

I've been pushing mozilla since it's early milestones. I grabbed M8 and never looked back. I picked up the first builds of phoenix too, and have been trying to convert friends, family & even total strangers (heh). I try to post on my blog about the new firebird (& thunderbird) builds and releases. It's become a way of life for me.

I been using Mozilla since M13 I think, its great and I succeded in converting several people. But with Firebird its not so easy. People dont like the idea of installing a 0.6 software version on their computer. Even though I explain its based on Mozilla 1.4 (that most of them use).

I post lots of Mozilla-related items at my place. Have had several people I know try Moz 1.4 after reading "all that Mozilla stuff" on my blog. Every link helps.
